MISSION & CONTEXT :

 

We are looking for a highly motivated L'OCCITANE Brand Financial Controller to join our L’Occitane Finance team in Geneva for a fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be supporting central L'Occitane product development teams in maintaining a profitable product portfolio at each stage of its lifecycle. In addition, you will be a partner to our team in Singapore in order to implement and maintain key controlling processes in our storage & distribution center for Asia.

 

The position is based in Plan-Les-Ouates (close to Geneva) and is reporting to the Brand Controlling Director.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1)Optimization of products catalogue margin : 

  • As part of the development process of new products, you will review, challenge and validate novelties' standard costs & price positioning to ensure margin targets achievement. Scope: expert bodycare, face care, haircare & kits
  • Ensure maintenance of margin modelling tool for novelties 
  • Participate to the annual price increase process for products, kits, merchandising and promotional items
  • Participate to excess & obsolete products management process to maximize stock exhaustion & minimize obsolescence costs
  • Each quarter, review and adjust Group's provisions for central inventory, and ensure follow-up on decisions made during the quarterly review

 

2)Controlling of our Storage & Distribution Center in Asia:

  • Ensure monthly closing, preparation of inventory accounting entries, consolidation reporting and PwC/audit controls for our DC in Singapore
  • Implement, optimize & animate key controlling processes for this distribution center: quality and excess/obsoletes, billing summary, kitting, waste management etc.

 

HOW YOU CAN FIT:

 

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Controlling
  • 5+ years experience in a similar role and industry (beauty, cosmetics, fragrance, make-up) or in an FMCG environment
  • Fluent in English with a very good command of French
  • Excellent command of Pack Office, especially Excel
  • Very good command of SAP environment
  • Analytical and concise mindset with a strong attention to details
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritize
  • Autonomy with a strong collaborative spirit and interpersonal skills

  • At ease in an international & fast-paced environment
