CONTEXT & MISSION:

We are looking for a highly motivated Learning & Development Manager Travel Retail Europe & Americas!

In this role, you will be responsible for building, adapting and implementing the Learning & Development (L&D) strategy to conveying the L’OCCITANE Group brand image, values and positioning to our partners, commercial field team and beauty consultants (BCs) in Travel Retail Europe & Americas.

The position is based in Plan-les-Ouates (near Geneva) and reports to the General Manager Travel Retail EMEA & Americas.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

1. Build the TR L&D strategy for Europe & Americas

  • Build TR L&D on-line & off-line strategy for L’OCCITANE Group brands portfolio;
  • Build training budget to achieve business goals;
  • Create and adapt L’OCCITANE L&D content to Travel Retail specific needs;
  • Support & follow up the e-learning tool "My True Story";
  • Monitor and Implement L&D new trends.

 

2. Training

  • Training of the TR team (HQ and Field);
  • “Train the trainers” for the field sales team;
  • On-line trainings for BCs community 4 times a year;
  • Off-line trainings for BCs community 1 to 2 times a year;
  • Ad hoc trainings according to the business needs.

 

3. Communication and Community Animation

  • Privileged TR contact for L’OCCITANE Group L&D community;
  • Build L&D communication plan for all TR stakeholders;
  • Close collaboration with merchandising and marketing teams for the development of adequate training tools;
  • Animation of the Travel Retail L&D community (e-learning, social media);
  • Create the e-newsletter.

 

4. Controlling and Planning

  • Implement annual & quarterly training plans;
  • Responsible for respecting training budget allocated to the area;
  • Drive & control the respect of the local training plans by area;
  • Monitor and provid Key Performance Indicators on our BCs and training activity.

 

HOW YOU CAN FIT:

  • +3 years' experience in a similar role in the Travel Retail industry or Wholesale & Retail;
  • Selling experience in cosmetics;
  • Solid expertise and knowledge in cosmetics (fragrance and skincare);
  • Fluent in English, French and/or Spanish are a strong plus;
  • At ease with Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent public speaker and solid oral presentation skills;
  • High level of autonomy and will to take ownership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment;
  • Strong customer centricity mindset and business acumen, results focused, proactive problem solver;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and develop strong relationships at all levels and across functions;
  • Strong ability to manage conflicting priorities and to maintain a helicopter view with a hands-on approach;
  • Appetite for change and challenges and at ease in an international environment with remote & multicultural teams;
  • Travel requirements: willing to travel up to 40%.
