CONTEXT:  

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to join the L’Occitane Global Revenue & Intelligence team. The Global Revenue & Intelligence team acts as an internal strategy consulting team whose mission is to maxime and optimize the brand’s revenue through global strategic initiatives.  

There are 4 pillars within the L’Occitane Global Revenue & Intelligence team, each bringing expertise on a specific topic: 

  • CMI (Customer Marketing Insights), 

  • Customer value (Distribution Performance & Client), 

  • Core Revenue Growth Management (Pricing and Promotion, Category Management),

  • Digital Performance. 

 
The Revenue Growth Management internship will mainly focus on the Customer Value and Core Revenue Growth Management pillars. This involves becoming an integral part of the pricing and category management strategy for the next fiscal year and supporting the launch of new distribution performance initiatives. 

The position reports to the Global Head of Customer Value

  

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:  
 

  1. Lead the launch of a new Distribution Performance initiative 

  • Pilot new analytics in test markets, work closely with Retail, HR and Finance teams to identify opportunities and weak signals 

  • Provide weekly reporting to the central task force and market leads 

  • Develop or elevate distribution performance dashboards for non-test markets and prepare local teams for performance piloting elevation 

 

  1. Drive L’Occitane’s Distribution Performance elevation 

  • Assist in developing dashboards and reports to pilot distribution performance across markets 

  • Provide insights to top management to support decision-making on distribution growth strategy, investment prioritization and distribution optimization 

 

  1. Lead market & category analysis of qualitative and quantitative data from various platforms and sources to deliver strategic recommendations to International Teams 

    Pricing 

  • Build qualitative pricing tests - including conjoint analysis – determining customers’ willingness to pay and consistent pricing strategy  

  • Improve & update current pricing tools to help defining innovations price positioning  

  • Collaborate with top markets teams (incl. USA, Japan, China, Korea) to define local prices for new products  

  • Support defining the International Pricing Strategy for the brand for 10+ markets (international consistency, portfolio performances and price elasticity) 

    Category strategy 

  • Conduct specific category, products and pricing analysis ensuring data driven portfolio decisions 

  • Provide support to Marketing Development Teams to Strategize our Category approach by channels 
     

 

  1. Provide wider support to Customer Value & RGM team on ad-hoc projects: pricing and competition price strategies analysis, research and market analysis, discount monitoring, building of new tools potentially including AI

 
  

HOW YOU CAN FIT

  • Bachelor or Master student looking for an end-of-studies internship or gap-year internship (an internship agreement provided by your school is mandatory) 

  • Previous professional experience in Data Analytics 

  • Fluent in English 

  • Ideally Tableau or PowerBI previous experience, advanced Excel skills with knowledge of data analysis functions and techniques (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) 

  • Attention to detail: ability to maintain high standards of data quality and accuracy 

  • Analytical problem-solving: strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets, identify and summarize key insights 

  • Proactiveness and working autonomously 

  • Excellent organization and project management, ability to adapt and demonstrate entrepreneurship 

  
 

STARTING DATE: January 2025 for 6 months (full-time position)
