CONTEXT & MISSION:
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Retail Manager Switzerland to join our Swiss Team!
In this role, you will be in charge of 8 stores in Switzerland (3 in the French-speaking and 5 in the German-speaking Switzerland) and responsible for the 360 degree achievement of sales and profitability targets at the POS. You will also work closely with the office functions Marketing as well as Human Resources, Finance and Supply Chain, to further develop the POS in terms of sales relevant KPIs (ATV, UPT, CVR & NPS), cost levels, productivity and HR. You will also ensure service excellence that makes visiting our stores a luxurious experience for customers.
The position is based in Plan-Les-Ouates (near Geneva) and reports to the General Manager DECH & BENELUX.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setting goals and priorities for Swiss stores;
  • Adherence to and optimization of the budget vs. BUD/REF with P&L focus;
  • Planning and monitoring of sales and budgets, as well as management of productivity and profitability at the POS;
  • Setting sales targets by focusing on relevant KPIs with regular analysis of POS/team results at the POS;
  • Monitoring and analyzing relevant KPIs to derive appropriate action plans, including conducting appropriate meetings to promote knowledge sharing;
  • Ensuring a high level of quality in the area of merchandising and service excellence;
  • Ensuring the implementation of marketing measures at the POS;
  • Conception and implementation of end-user and influencer events at the POS to promote sales;
  • Conducting market analyses to identify competitive advantages in relation to current trends and sales experiences;
  • Optimization of inventories, orders and transfers to the POS;
  • Responsibility for the management, motivation and development of the stores team according to L'OCCITANE en Provence values and through close leadership and coaching of Store Managers, to further develop sales and increase traffic;
  • Recruitment and onboarding of Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers as well as Beauty Hosts;
  • KPI coaching for the stores team through regular visits to the POS;
  • Networking of teams and promotion of collaboration;
  • Learning & development: identifying training needs and leading in-store training sessions.

 

HOW YOU CAN FIT:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role in retail within the cosmetics or luxury industry;
  • At least 8 years of experience managing retail teams in the beauty industry;
  • In-depth understanding of the Swiss retail business in the beauty segment and the ability to recognize changing local market conditions and customer needs to initiate appropriate actions;
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and derive and implement strategic recommendations for action;
  • Strong target and result orientation incl. budget and cost awareness;
  • Successful track record in leading, motivating and developing teams;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and develop strong relationships at all levels and across functions;
  • Self-starter with a high level of autonomy and commitment, combined with a strategic thinking;
  • Strong affinity for the L’OCCITANE en Provence brand and appetite for change and challenges;
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office with a general good understanding of systems and ideally data analysis tools;
  • Fluent in French, German and English;
  • Willingness to travel up to 80 % and to organize working hours to suit business and retail needs.
