CONTEXT & MISSION:

The Regional Sustainability Europe Intern will support the Head of Sustainability Europe in the development and implementation of the Europe L’Occitane sustainability strategy. Primary areas of responsibility will include: consolidate sustainability metrics for ESG, EMS, and Carbon Assessment reports, in support of B Corp recertification, coordinate waste reduction projects, work with internal partners to advance sustainability projects; and create content for internal Sustainability communication channels. 

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support impact measurement and reporting: coordination and data accuracy check on environmental metrics for all european markets
    • Support the coordination of the Environmental Management System quarterly tracking with key topic leaders; update file and check for accuracy for quarterly updates with key topic leaders
    • Coordinate with internal teams to consolidate and submit required data for the annual Carbon Assessment and ESG report
    • Identify and propose actions to meet annual sustainability targets

 

  • Support circularity engagement programs in Europe (waste reduction & in-store recycling program)
    • Track and report on quarterly returns data; communicate with key topic leaders and identify improvement areas
    • Partner with Business to track, prioritize refills sales
    • Support marketing and retail teams with the ongoing communication needs
    • Coordinate with other departments as-needed to support increased engagement and growth of the in-store recycling program and refill sales

 

  • Co-build internal engagement plan for Europe
    • Manage Sustainability Europe newsletter by providing updates for the region on People and Planet roadmaps
    • Support Head Of  in organizing and leading sustainability information sessions and educational activities with various internal teams
    • Partner with Retail Performance and Customer Experience team  to engage with store and field leadership teams on key sustainability actions

 

HOW YOU CAN FIT:

  • Bachelor or Master student, with an internship agreement provided by your current school (mandatory)
  • Passionate about sustainability
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in both written and spoken English
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team spirit to collaborate with diverse and international teams

 

 

STARTING DATE: July 2024 for 6 months (full-time position)
